LPPM Membership
The Association is open to and welcomes applications from all sectors within the PGM world but all applications must meet the requirements of their chosen category.
The membership year runs from January to December and members are invoiced in January for the coming years’ membership. Should membership be cancelled, no refunds will be given. If a new member joins at any point after January, a pro-rated amount will be charged. VAT is added to all invoices unless VAT is not applicable.

LPPM Membership Levels
The Market has four categories; Full, Associate, Affiliate and Affiliated Exchange:
Full Membership
Full membership is open to those companies recognised by the Management Committee as being currently engaged in trading and/or dealing platinum and palladium and who they also consider offer additional services in the United Kingdom market such as market making, clearing services, refining or manufacturing. All Founder Members of the LPPM are Full Members.
Cost: £10,315.00 per annum plus VAT if applicable.
2 Full Member Sponsors are required to support an application. All sponsors need to be current members of the Association

Associate Membership
Associate membership is open to companies that are recognised by the Management Committee as being currently engaged in trading and/or dealing in platinum and palladium and have an appropriate level of experience and net assets but do not provide the full range of services provided by Full Members.
Cost: £4,855.00 per annum plus VAT if applicable
2 Full Members or 1 Full and 1 Associate Member Sponsors are required to support an application. All sponsors need to be current members of the Association.

Affiliation
This category of membership is open to those companies which fail to meet the normal requirements of Full or Associate membership as above but are recognised by the Management Committee as being involved with or offering support to the global platinum and palladium markets.
Cost: £1,215.00 per annum plus VAT if applicable

LPPM Affiliated Exchange
This category of membership offers access to the LPPM Good Delivery List and the right to use it as a delivery standard for their Exchange. Any Exchange involved in Platinum and Palladium Group Metals may apply to the Management Committee for LPPM Affiliated Exchange membership.

Where a refiner is already on the Good Delivery List for plates/bars and applies for Sponge Accreditation in the relevant metal OR is already on the Sponge Accreditation List and applies for Good Delivery in the relevant metal, the cost will be £5,000 per metal.
Annual LPPM Sponge Accreditation:
Prices are exclusive of VAT and this will be added where applicable.
Events:
All members are entitled to invitations, the number of which is based on their membership level*, to the following free to attend events:
- London Platinum Week, held annually in May; seminar, cocktail reception and dinner
- New York Platinum Week cocktail reception, held annually in September
- Additionally, Members of the LPPM are entitled to discounted rates to the LBMA/LPPM Precious Metals Conference held in October each year

Management Committee:
Full and Associate members are eligible to be nominated to sit on the Management Committee of the LPPM, additionally, Full members are also eligible to be nominated to the position of Chair. All nominations are subject to voting which takes place at the AGM in February.
TMO/Black Box:
The original Value Added Tax (Terminal Markets) Order (TMO) was published in 1973 to classify certain commodities exchanges as “terminal markets”. The TMO means certain transactions between members of these terminal markets can be zero-rated for VAT purposes. Currently Full and Associate Members of the Association are able to participate, subject to confirmation by their own legal advisors. It should be noted, however, that the TMO is currently undergoing a review by HMT which should be completed in late 2023 or early 2024. The system remains in force until otherwise notified.
Use of LPPM Logo:
All members may use the LPPM logo on their website and any promotional documents to show they are members.
